Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.Responsibilities:Assure that jobs specified on maintenance requests and work orders are completed satisfactorily.Refer work requiring more specialized or skilled crafts to appropriate trades supervisor and follow-up to completion.Assist in periodic inspections of buildings and structures.Maintain tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks and inventory of equipment and supplies.Make emergency repairs within area of knowledge and responsibility.Maintain required records of hours/materials expended for each job.Attend special training classes and sessions to increase skill in various crafts.Inspect machinery in operation to assure proper functioning, including checking pressures and temperatures as required.Perform other related duties as assigned.Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:PREVIOUS EXPERIENCED REQUIREDPLC PROGRAMMING IS A PLUSMECHANICALLY INCLINED TEAM PLAYEREducation:High SchoolExperience:ExperiencedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.5+ years of related experience in packing machines/production machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
