The Registered Nurse provides both direct and indirect home
care, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, and
promoting independence. Requires IDD and supervisory experience,
with responsibilities including administering medications,
documenting care, and communicating with families and physicians.
Performs assessments, supervises caregivers, and ensures compliance
with regulatory standards. Provides health education, manages
medications, and handles incident reporting. Participates in staff
training, maintains confidentiality, and coordinates care plans.
Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree, licensure, CPR
certification, and experience in home health and medication
management. Strong communication, organizational, and critical
thinking skills are essential. The role supports delivering
personalized, compassionate care to help clients maintain
independence at home. Salary ranges from $55,000 to $65,000
annually.
