Job Title: RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Evening Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year in Critical Care License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: 1 Year of Critical Care Experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The facility is a licensed acute care hospital with trauma designation. It serves as a teaching hospital and provides care across all adult and pediatric specialties. The unit features 18 beds and has an average daily census of 100 patients. The staff-to-patient ratios are 1:1 or 2:1. Necessary support includes charge nurses and anesthesia teams. Technology utilized includes an electronic medical record system and various monitoring equipment. The shift operates 24/7, requiring weekend rotations and holiday expectations. Requests for time off are subject to manager approval. Scrub color is jade green and provided by the facility.
