CVICU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27157! Job Title: RN -
CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular
Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year CVICU experience required
License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CCRN
preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred Post-cardiac
assessment skills Ability to care for circulatory support devices
Knowledge of titration of vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medications
Proficiency in interpretation of cardiac waveforms Experience in
hemodynamic monitoring Description: This position is for a
Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The
unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment that cares for
patients requiring cardiovascular support. Common diagnoses include
post-operative care for cardiac procedures such as CABG and valve
replacement, as well as management of devices like IABP and
Impella. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Support staff is
available, including CNAs for assistance with activities of daily
living, vital signs, and patient transport. Charge nurses are
frequently assigned to support the team. Phlebotomy services are
available 24/7. Intensivists are present 24/7 to provide additional
patient care support. Scheduling includes weekend rotation every
other weekend. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. The
schedule operates on a six-week cycle. Preferred scrub color is
